For the majority of the past 6 weeks, I have been living near my family. This hasn’t happened since I was 18 and went away to college. After college I moved to LA while the rest of my family lived back east. With the sale of my condo, I had the chance to hang back in the try-state area, so I took it. In the past, I would breeze into town. Spend a few action packed days and leave after 5 or 6 days. This was going to be different…more regular. I was a little nervous. Excited, but nervous.
I have to say, it’s been awesome. I see my parents a few times a week. I spent time with my siblings, their amazing spouses and most importantly my fabulous niece. And we are having a blast. I’ve played Mah Jong. Had great dinners. Baby sat the aforementioned cutiepie.
I’ll be heading out later this weeks for points yet unknown (maybe Austin, maybe not). I will miss my family…and will look forward to more bonding moments over Thanksgiving!
