I’m writing this from my hotel room in Asheville, NC where I stopped for the night. I am on my way to Austin, TX for a few weeks!! I stopped there over the summer for a few days and it was awesome (you may remember my gold cape and crown…that was Austin!).
My trip to Austin almost didn’t come together…there is a Formula 1 race happening right in the middle of my trip making housing prices out of budget. I put it out on Facebook, asking if anyone knew of an alternative, and let it go. I started making other plans for a shorter Austin visit and adding in some other cities. And then a friend left the names of a few of her friends who might be able to help me. In the past, I would have been too shy to connect and ask strangers. But these days…I sent them messages ASAP. One of them got back to me (actually 2 did!) and now I have a kick ass spot!!!
So look for some Austin adventures in this spot in the coming weeks. Yay!! I better hit the road…The Unclaimed Baggage store awaits.
