I am a Sales Manager and I try my best not to schedule meetings on Fridays as I use that day as my much-needed “office day.” When a client called and begged me to come by, I was a bit resistant since it WAS Friday. However, when I looked at my calendar, I realized the following week was booked solid and Friday would be the only time I could see her.
I told her I would come by on one condition: she let me wear my sweats! Given that I am ALWAYS dressed up for meetings, I was kind of shocked that I even had the audacity to make such an odd request. As she agreed, thankfully, I went on my jolly way to UCLA in my workout gear, as if it were just a normal workday.
I found it quite hilarious, but needless to say, I closed the sale:-)!
Ok, maybe not THIS outrageous, but close:-)!
